Attendance

What is the current class schedule?

How often is my child expected to attend class each week?

Student minimum attendance requirements as well as the current class schedule can be found here. Students can attend more classes if desired.

I would like my child to attend class on a different day (than scheduled). How do I do this?

Any class changes including changing days or discontinuation needs to be confirmed with our office

My child missed a class; can it be made it up?

Makeup classes are arraigned through our office. Drop by or call us to set up a makeup class.*

Does poor attendance affect my child's performance?

Yes! Missing too many classes affects consistency and progress. Attendance is reviewed during evaluation periods and could affect the student's eligibility to advance to a higher class level.*

Can my child make up classes for time missed while on vacation?

Yes! Makeup classes can be taken prior to the absence or within the following month of the planned time off. Drop by or call us so we can arrange the classes.*

We've decided to no longer attend class. What do we do?

To cancel enrollment, please inform our office that the student will not be attending classes any longer or tuition will be continue to be charged.*

Attire

What are the school's uniform requirements?

Consultation & Observation

I would like a conference with my child's instructor. How do I set up a meeting?

Conferences with your child's instructor(s), the school owner/director, or receptionist may be scheduled upon request. Due to our class schedules, faculty members are not free for consultation following class. Please e-mail or schedule a private meeting by calling our office to help keep gossip and innuendo out of the school, and for the student’s protection.

Are parents allowed in the classroom while class is in session?

We have limited space for parent observation. You may observe through the windows or arrange with the instructor to come into the class, only one parent at a time.

Can I shoot video or take pictures of my child while class is in session?

No tape recorders, video cameras, or cameras are allowed in the classroom.

How often is my child evaluated for advancement to the next class level?

Students are evaluated twice each year for advancement to the next class level. After advancement, there is a probation period to see how the student adapts, and there is a possibility of returning to the prior level.

What factors help to determine when my child is a candidate for advancement?

Age, attendance, accomplishment, maturity, physical makeup, observation of good theatre etiquette, and understanding both the dance syllabus and music. Placement and advancement is at the discretion of the Artistic Director. The School uses these requirements as a guide.


Tuition

What is the current tuition?

When is tuition due?

Tuition is due on the first class of the month. A late fee is assessed if tuition has not been received by the 10th of the month.*

We are going on vacation soon and my child will miss class. Will tuition be prorated for the time my child is away?

No. Monthly tuition rates are based on the number of days per week your child is enrolled. Unfortunately, we cannot prorate tuition to account for vacation, holidays, or other closures. The Attendance Section has more answers about making up missed classes due to illness.

My child missed class due to illness. Will I get a refund or prorated rate for the time my child missed?

No. Monthly tuition rates are based on the number of days per week your child is enrolled. Unfortunately, we cannot prorate tuition to account for illness, holidays, or other closures. The Attendance Section has more answers about making up missed classes as a result of a planned absence.

Are there refunds on tuition I already paid?

No. There are no refunds for paid tuition and tuition cannot be transferred to another student.*

Are there fees assessed for late payment or bounced check?

Yes. Please see the fees and discounts area of our tuition page.*

Can I pay with a credit card?

Sorry, not at this time. Payment is via cash or check.
