Being a Seattle Civic Dance Theatre Concert Dancer

Requirements

• Must demonstrate excellent use of technique and artistry
• Must be proficient on Pointe
• Must demonstrate good theatre etiquette
• Must participate in all classes and rehearsals
• Must audition to be a member or per discretion of the Director
• Must participate in fundraising activities
• Must perform in community venues
• Must have the ability to be “loaned out” to other schools or companies in need of extra dancers

Privileges

• Able to receive awards of Pointe shoes
• Have Priority consideration for Seattle Civic Dance Theatre Performances
• Have choreographers design dances for them
• Have opportunity to perform with other entities as needed
• Receive school credit for community outreach
